Full transcripts of 159 probate inventories from the records of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury in which the deceased's possessions are usually listed room by room. They give an unrivalled insight into details of everyday living. Among the many trades and occupations represented are laceman, innholder, physician, paper maker, tanner, brickmaker and mercer.
