Volume 21. Buckinghamshire Contributions for Ireland, 1642, and Richard Grenville's Military Accounts, 1642-1645

These returns of voluntary gifts under the Act of 16 Charles I, cap. 30, constitute one of the most complete listings of inhabitants for the Civil War period. Over 8,000 names and contributions are recorded for 132 parishes (60% of the total). Also included (pp 144-158) are Richard Grenville's military accounts as sheriff, deputy lieutenant and member of the County Committee.
